2023:
Many happy children received refurbished bicycles that were donated by the Alamosa Bicycle Coalition at our Christmas Day Event!
Thank you Grant Lee and staff for donating the 30+ bicycles to our nonprofit.
All bikes found new homes but sadly it looks like I missed taking a few pictures of the happy kiddos!

2021 & 2022:
Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic kept us from having an 'in person event' for these years. However, we were able to still donate funds to various other entities/causes during the holiday season to the Food Banks, Senior Citizens, Shop With A Cop and Toys for Tots that were able to assist the residents of our beautiful San Luis Valley!
1990:
AND IN THE BEGINNING.....
The Free Community Christmas Dinner was founded by Ann Edstrom Watters in 1990 to ensure that no one had to spend Christmas alone. It received classification as a non-profit organization in November, 2012.
On Christmas Day each year, through kind community contributions, a committee of volunteers is able to coordinate a sit-down turkey dinner with all the fixings, musical entertainment and even a visit from Santa who provides all the children with presents. Although our founder passed away in April, 2009, her legacy continues through the generous donations and efforts of the community.
